Korbein Schultz, 25, just received a 7-year prison sentence for one of the most shocking national security betrayals in recent memory.
The former Army intelligence analyst from Willis Point, Texas, was caught collecting and transmitting critical military information to the Chinese government—allegedly for just $42,000.
Schultz even tried recruiting another analyst into the plot. The Department of Justice revealed that his Chinese contact was eager to expand the espionage ring with someone who had better access to classified materials.
Attorney General Pam Bondi didn’t mince words: “He swore to defend this country—he betrayed it for a payout.”
