Michael Madsen, the gravel-voiced actor known for his unforgettable roles in “Reservoir Dogs,” “Kill Bill,” and “The Hateful Eight,” has passed away at age 67.
According to his publicist Liz Rodriguez, Madsen suffered a heart collapse and was found unresponsive in his Malibu home. LA County responders pronounced him dead at 8:25 AM. Authorities report no foul play — death appears to be from natural causes.
Known for his intense presence and raw energy on screen, Madsen was in the midst of a creative revival. He had several independent films in the works and was preparing to publish a new book titled Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.
Fans and fellow stars are mourning the loss of a true original. Captain America director Joe Russo wrote, “Michael Madsen ALWAYS had bite. RIP.”
From Free Willy to Sin City, and even voicing characters in GTA and Dishonored, Madsen left a mark across generations.
He wasn’t just an actor — he was a force. Rest in peace, legend.
